We are a quintet based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We perform mainly in Park City and at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley. Our audiences often ask, "What do you call your type of music?" Though we have been playing together for over ten years we have not yet found an appropriate answer to this question. Folk-Jazz, classic-folk, acoustic variety, acoustic eclectic, cabaret? We don't know. It might be easier to produce some sort of philosophical manifesto. Well here's a run at it. We try to produce music, music in the old fashioned sense of sounds, textures and tone qualities that move a listener emotionally. There is something about smooth vocals over tapestries woven with steel strings that works well for us. We are aiming at the human heart and toward something that happens there that might be called beauty. This is what we are working on and what audiences are responding to.
